
Mètode Science Studies Journal , published by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Research of the University of Valencia, has renewed the quality seal awarded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT). This recognition is in acknowledgement of the editorial excellence, scientific rigour, and transparency in the publication’s content selection and review processes.
Renewal of the FECYT seal certifies that Metode Science Studies Journal meets the highest standards of editorial quality, scientific good practice, and professional management, following a rigorous evaluation process based on objective and international criteria. FECYT promotes this seal with the aim of improving the quality of Spanish scientific journals and enhancing their visibility, credibility and impact within the research community.
Furthermore, the latest update to the CARHUS Plus+ 2025 quality and impact index has classified the journal at the highest level (A) in the categories ’General and Multidisciplinary’ and ’History and Philosophy of Science’. These recognitions reinforce Metode SSJ’s commitment to disseminating scientific research and promoting open access science, scientific integrity, and the international recognition of academic knowledge.
Metode Science Studies Journal, edited by Full Professor of Journalism Martí Domínguez, is a diamond open access academic journal (i.e., free for authors and readers) specialising in the critical analysis of science, technology, and innovation from an interdisciplinary perspective, with a particular emphasis on the social impact of science and the role of scientific knowledge in contemporary society.
